
The VE5SK repeater is connected to the internet with EchoLink.
EchoLink® software allows licensed Amateur Radio stations to communicate with one another over the Internet, using streaming-audio technology. The program allows worldwide connections to be made between stations, or from computer to station, greatly enhancing Amateur Radio's communications capabilities. There are more than 350,000 validated users worldwide — in 159 of the world's 193 nations — with about 6,000 online at any given time,
The following apps will allow you to communicate over and listen to the VE5SK Saskatoon repeater using your phone or a computer. Great for keeping in touch when outside the normal range of the repeater or not close to your favourite VHF radio.
Once the App/Platform is installed, you will need to Authenticate your callsign.
With the App/Platform up and running, within the app, look for the station VE5HRC-R and connect to it. Once connected, your device can now transmit to and receive from the VE5SK repeater. Make VE5HRC-R one of your favorites to connect to it in the future.
